Overview
My 12-week internship at Corteva Agriscience in the summer of 2024 was a transformative experience that allowed me to develop professionally and contribute meaningfully to impactful projects. I had the privilege of working with an outstanding team called Guardians of the Grain, alongside another competitive intern team named Pest Patrol. We followed the Scrum/Agile framework, which facilitated effective collaboration and project management.
The Guardians of the Grain team comprised four developers and one research/business analyst, which was my role. Our project focused on developing an internal website to support 43 research sites at Corteva. These sites housed extensive databases related to crop protection, which needed to be organized and designed to ensure seamless access and usability for scientists, researchers, and other business stakeholders.
Under the guidance of my mentor, Matt Roeding, I gained a deep understanding of the Agile framework, day-to-day responsibilities, and the use of Azure DevOps, a tool that was new to me. We worked through the stages of Discovery, Define, Design, Prototype, and Test to deliver a comprehensive solution.

Sprint Management: Managed sprint reviews to provide updates on project progress and foster collaboration with the Pest Patrol team.
Wireframing & Prototyping: Designed user-centric wireframes in Figma, which adhered to design principles, and created a new design system to enhance efficiency and consistency.
Task Management: Documented user stories, tasks, and workflows in Azure DevOps and Confluence, assigning them to developers and ensuring clarity of expectations.
User Acceptance Testing (UAT): Oversaw UAT to identify and address pain points, refine features, and deliver a polished, user-friendly application.

• This internship taught me invaluable skills, including leadership, effective design in Figma, and problem-solving for real-world challenges. It also provided opportunities to engage with diverse groups of talented individuals, fostering my professional and personal growth.
• Additionally, our team participated in a poster-making competition, showcasing our project to other Corteva employees, which further enriched the experience.
• Overall, this internship was one of the most rewarding experiences of my career, and I am grateful to Corteva Agriscience for providing me with the opportunity to contribute to meaningful projects alongside brilliant minds.
